LONG BEACH STUDIOS, LLC Brings Filmmaking Back to Where it All Began With 40 New State-of-the-Art Soundstages
LONG BEACH STUDIOS, LLC is bringing filmmaking back to where it began in California in 1913. Long Beach Studios' state-of-the-art facility will house over 1.4 million square feet of production, post-production and support space; and will include the largest water filming facility in California. This new facility, conceived by Jack O'Halloran, Chairman, and Jay Alan Samit, CEO, with its positive fiscal impact, will add countless film and television production jobs to the industry as well as to the local economy, and will help stem the flow of run-away production out of California. Long Beach Studios will also become the largest LEED certified studio ever built with the smallest carbon footprint for a studio in filmmaking history.
"Long Beach is the perfect location for a major production studio," says Jack O'Halloran, Chairman of the studio, "Being close to three major airports, major freeways, and Metro Rail makes us the most convenient production facility and we are thrilled to become a part of this amazing and vital city." Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster agrees, "Long Beach will again become a major player in the $27 billion film industry and will become home to thousands of entertainment industry jobs."
The studio is expecting to roll cameras sometime in the first quarter of 2009.
